We have been working with several universities in the last few years to give access to our methodology and tools, or to contribute to teaching by actively involving students in a civic monitoring process adapted to their needs
Part of a course or laboratory can be focused on the civic monitoring of one or more public projects. We can give you a hand in organizing the syllabus or actively contributing to teaching, from theory to practice. We have a standard, 18-hour syllabus, but we usually tailor it to specific needs.
Our website, data, and all materials can be used free of charge by anyone, just by giving Monithon appropriate credit (CC-BY-SA license). If you are organizing an initiative, let us know: we may need a hand in reviewing the reports by our editorial staff. We are also available to give you support
Civic Monitoring reports have a standard format to allow for comparisons and aggregated analysis. Before publication, our editorial staff checks that judgments and suggestions are based on evidence and verifies the impartiality of the monitoring subjects. However, the contents, judgments, and suggestions are yours!
You can contribute to an international network for the civic monitoring of public funds, composed of other universities, national and local associations, teachers, and high schools. We organize events to exchange good practices and encourage comparison between different territorial contexts.
A fundamental experience of the civic monitoring process is interacting with political decision-makers, public administrators, and other public and private entities involved in the implementation of funded projects. Monithon organizes webinars or public events to facilitate deliberation and coproduction, based on the evidence collected during the monitoring process.
